Connect with WhatsApp
Connect the Scope with WhatsApp to activate your conversational AI in WhatsApp.
Before you begin
You need to have a WhatsApp business account.
Integrate Scope with WhatsApp
Go to Facebook Developer page and create a Business app.
Add a WhatsApp product to your Facebook App.
Click on
Webhooks– use theCallback URLandVerify Tokento create an event in the WhatsApp Webhook Setup.
Copy the
Callback URLandVerify tokenfrom the scope’s WhatsApp integration settings.
Paste the
Callback URLandVerify tokenfrom Mind Expression to the WhatsApp configuration.
After saving, click on manage on the
Webhooksection, and subscribe tomessages.
Go to
Whatsapp > Getting Started, and copy theWhatsapp Business Account ID.
Paste the WhatsApp business account ID to Mind Expression’s WhatsApp integration settings.
On the getting started page in meta for developers, add your business phone number to connect to the app by clicking on
Add phone number.
.Fill out the required information then click
Next.
Add the business phone number for the WhatsApp CAI.
Go to the Facebook business and click on
Business settings.
Go to the
System Userspage and click onAdd assetson the right side ofAssigned assets. If there is no system user yet, create one first and set the user role as anAdmin.
After clicking on
Add assets, go toAppsand click on the name of the app you created for WhatsApp. Turn on theManage Apptoggle then click onSave changes.
Go to the
WhatsApp Accounts, clickAdd Peopleto add the user created in Step 13, and turn onManage WhatsApp account.
Go back to
System usersand click onGenerate new token.
Select the permissions below then click on
Generate token.whatsapp_business_messagingwhatsapp_business_management
Copy the
Access tokenand paste it asAccess Tokenin Mind Expression’s WhatsApp integration.
Click on
Authorizationand select the phone number used for the WhatsApp application.
Click
Connect
Testing the CAI
Using a different phone number, add the phone number used in the WhatsApp business account.
Send a message to the business account with a configured statement.
